Hole 5

A tough par three where your tee shot must deal with a number of obstacles. There is a stream and a ditch that await a short shot and two sets of hedgerow that will deal with anything thinned. A diagonal line of two pot bunkers guard a wide, though shallow green, that stands out picturesquely against some trees. You must also be careful not to be long as the out of bounds fence is tantalisingly close. This is an extremely testing hole where three is a very good score.

Pro's Tip

There is a choice here between hitting a high longer iron all the way to the pin or attempting to fade something in. Either way requires you to be very accurate. Too long is disastrous and too short will leave a tricky bunker shot or, worse, a very dangerous chip over the bunkers. The safe option is pin high left. A three here is very satisfying.
