David was a Senior Teaching Professional at the Belfry for 5 years prior to joining the Professional Golfers’ Association in 2009 as the Executive for Golf Coaching. David's expertise led him to present in China, Europe and at National Conferences for the PGA in England. David specialises in teaching and gained his experience from working with and learning from some of the world’s best coaches in a number of disciplines from golf coaching, fitness, physiotherapy and biomechanics. David has taught a variety of players from complete beginners wishing to learn the game to elite tournament professionals on the Challenge Tour and Ladies European Tours. David’s experience has allowed to him to reach his players goals in the most effective way, whether it be at the highest levels down to golfers starting the game.
David also takes an active part in the development of young golfers in the county and is the Lead Coach for the Warwickshire County Academy Programme developing young golfers.
Craig has been a PGA Professional at Edgbaston Golf Club since 2010 and during that time he has continually developed his own knowledge and career. Craig teaches both members and visitors across all standards but is specifucally interested in the introduction of golf to beginners. He particularly enjoys coaching the short game and continually invests a lot of time and effort to stay on top of the latest and most successful techniques. In addition, Craig is a Warwickshire County Academy coach which reflects his position in the local area and sees him delivering coaching sessions to the best of the counties young golfers.
Chris has been dedicated to the game of golf since he left school. He went straight to Solihull College to complete a qualification covering golf performance as well as things such as sports nutrition and sports science. Once completing college Chris decided to turn Professional and began studying the PGA Foundation Degree in order to become a qualified PGA Professional. Since then he has successfully completed his first year and is working hard to continue receiving merits and distinctions for his assignment work.
Chris is already a popular member of staff amongst the members and during 2015 he will be actively involved in group and junior coaching. In addition, Chris will be taking the lead on custom fitting within the Professional Shop.
Tom has recently finished his Applied Golf Management Studies Degree at the University of Birmingham. He completed his first year summer placement as part of the Professional Staff where he showed a passion for all aspects of golf business, in particular marketing and junior coaching. Tom has successfully promoted Tri-Golf within the local region through Primary Schools and local festivals and has valuable experience in junior coaching. As well as his talent for coaching he has an eye for design and had an important role in the production of Edgbaston Golf Club's latest promotional video which incorporates all aspects of the golf course and club.
